This sheet uses differences within 10. That is deliberate: wide enough to force real regrouping, narrow enough that a child can still check the answer by adding back.
Because the sheet regenerates, the child meets the borrowing pattern in a different place each time, which is exactly what stops the method from being memorised as a sequence of pen strokes; 3 − 1 today will not borrow in the same column as tomorrow's sheet.
There are two ways to think about a subtraction such as 6 − 3: taking away, or finding the difference. Children who only know the first find 3 slowly whenever the two numbers are close together.
Subtraction is where arithmetic confidence is usually won or lost. The written method itself is short, but it demands that the child hold a borrowed ten in their head while working on the next column — which is why 6 − 3 can take three times as long as an addition of the same size.

Here is one worked through. 8 − 3 gives 5. If your child arrives somewhere other than 5 on 8 − 3, look at the working rather than the answer: nearly every wrong result comes from a skipped step, not an unknown fact.
The item 8 − 3 is worth doing slowly. The answer to 8 − 3 is 5, and the route to it is the route every other problem on this sheet takes — which is why the sheet has 20 of them rather than one.
Keys are produced by the same code that produces the questions, so a mismatch between question and answer is not possible on these sheets.

Printing works the same on US Letter and A4, because the layout uses relative widths rather than fixed inches. Set margins to default and scaling to 100%, and all 20 problems fit.
