Use this page when you want multiplying fractions worksheets in the next thirty seconds: choose how many problems you want, press print, and the answer key comes out on its own page behind the worksheet. Multiplying fractions is mechanically the easiest fraction operation — multiply the tops, multiply the bottoms — which is why 2/5 × 1/6 gives 1/15 in a single step with no common denominator anywhere.
This sheet uses proper fractions with denominators to 9 and answers are reduced, so simplification is part of every problem.
The difficulty is conceptual rather than procedural. The product of two proper fractions is smaller than either of them — 5/18 is smaller than both parts of 5/6 × 1/3 — and that contradicts everything multiplication has meant until now.
Because each sheet is new, the child cannot rely on recognising a product from the previous session.

A good first problem to do together is 2/5 × 1/6, which comes out at 1/15. Do 2/5 × 1/6 once with the child narrating, then hand over the pencil and start the clock on the other 20 problems.
Here is one worked through. 5/6 × 1/3 gives 5/18. If your child arrives somewhere other than 5/18 on 5/6 × 1/3, look at the working rather than the answer: nearly every wrong result comes from a skipped step, not an unknown fact.
Keys are produced by the same code that produces the questions, so a mismatch between question and answer is not possible on these sheets.

The sheet is laid out to fit one page on both US Letter and A4. Leave the browser scaling at 100% and turn headers and footers off, and the 20 problems land inside the margins on either paper size.
Portrait orientation is what the sheet is designed for. Landscape works but wastes about a third of the paper, so leave the orientation alone unless you have a reason.
